CARIAN TRAIL - THE BAYS OF APHRODITE
Imagine this: You’re hiking through one of Turkey’s most untouched coastal landscapes. The Carian Trail takes you deep into the southwest – where lush green forests, gleaming white cliffs, and the deep blue sea meet in a constant dance. Peninsulas, hidden bays, and small islands line your path. And again and again, the view opens wide across the Aegean.
This long-distance hike offers you:
-
Mountain ranges rising from 300 to 1,000 meters
-
Secluded bays perfect for swimming and relaxing
-
Ancient sites like Hydas, Amos, and Loryma waiting to be explored
Caria, named after the ancient Carian people, is rich in archaeological treasures. You’ll walk through peaceful forests, discover forgotten settlements, and enjoy the quiet far from mass tourism. Every step brings you closer to nature – and to history.
